After 2-3 bird strikes a day onto the sliding glass doors from
escaping the hawk, we finally had our first fatality (not caused by
hawk claws).

Hard to believe that our front yard went from brown/dead to green and growing like crazy in one month (July of all months in the desert).  Everything backwards here with the monsoons....

Bird Seed Block

Day 1

It was named on the label a Dove Block and the Dove's as you can see did love it 

(King of the Seed Block, saw a total of 5 on the top of it at one time)

Day 2 (after the attempted theft)

Bought a bird seed block at the store and after the 1st night it was gone.  Found it down at the bottom of the yard (25 yds away) later in the day.  So set up the camera to see what it was that was eating it and trying to take it away.  Here are the culprits....Javelina (collared peccary) having a great time chowing down.  They did not try and steal it last night (must have been the snoring from the watch dogs that scared them away).

Carr Peak Hike

Another one of the mountains in the chain near the Fort, 2,000 foot hike with the peak being at 9,220 ft.

After our motorcycle trip we went out desert dune buggy riding.  We were the only ones on the trip so it was fast and fun.

that have been hiding in our TV all this time.

2012 Motorcycle Trip

3 days and 625 miles of great fun with Patrick on some fun bikes.  Lots of great scenery and views.  Got close to Maynard (only Tool fans will understand).  And discovered that the Massholes of the West are from California.
