Since Memorial Day weekend just happen to still be within Jen's BIRTHDAY WEEK, we planned a trip to Phoenix to do some riding. Although we had just gone there the weekend before for the start of Jen's BIRTHDAY WEEK and went to the beer festival, we went again (even without a beer festival). We are finding the 3 to 4 hour drive to PHX isn' that bad. We had planned on taking the trailer and pups and camping on the trails near Phoenix. Since the previous weekend had been in the 100's, the concern was that these type of temps would be to much for the poor pups in the trailer and not being able to be outside for very long. So with some quick traveling planning and deals we got 2 night in the Phoenician hotel in PHX (we had been there before). They allowed pups (although we had to put SPANX on all of them since they had to be below 40 lbs by the rules of the hotel. We knew that we would have a ground floor room with access to a grass area right outside the room, and the pups could stay in a air conditioned 60 deg room while we were out riding. The other bonus was we could come back from riding and jump into the pool and the hot tub (ahhhhh) and drink the good (albeit expensive) Pina Coladas.
So we rode for 2 days in a county park to the NW of Phoenix. Beautiful area and the trails were good, so much that we think we have found our most favorite trails (once again). The rides and pics are on the MTB blog:

Phoenix Day 2
We then packed up the pups (after we woke them up from their nice soft fancy hotel room accommodations) and headed to Tucson to another hotel room. Pups didn't like this room as much as the Phoenician. The next morning we got up early and went back to the trail we had attempted the week before when it was near 100 degrees. This attempt went much better since it was around 70 degrees and we were able to do most of the trails in the area.
Tucson Day 3
We packed the pups up one more time and brought them home where they are now all passed out in their favorite spots/beds back at their home. A great end to Jen's BIRTHDAY WEEK, 53 miles of riding, beer festival, laying by the pool at a fancy hotel drinking Pina Coladas, and In-N-Out.
